Agritechnica, the world's leading fair for agricultural machinery, returns to Hanover from 14 to 20 November 2027 under the theme Connecting Agricultural Intelligence. The 2025 edition counted 2,849 exhibitors from 52 countries and around 476,000 visitors from 171 countries, which makes it one of the largest industrial fairs in the world by attendance.
Agricultural machinery buyers are farmers, contractors and dealers, and they are among the most hands-on audiences any machine builder faces. This guide covers how tractor, implement and component manufacturers use 3D animation and renders from CAD at Agritechnica, and how to plan for November 2027.
What makes agricultural machinery hard to show
Agritechnica stands are full of real machines, often polished to a mirror finish. But the real machine on carpet cannot show what it does in a field:
- The working process. How soil, crop or seed moves through a harvester, baler, seed drill or sprayer.
- Precision functions. Section control, variable rate application, GPS guidance and sensor systems.
- Adjustments and set-up. How quickly working width, depth or settings change between jobs.
- Inside the components. Gearboxes, hydraulics and drivelines, which matter to dealers and service teams.
3D animation built from the machine's CAD shows the machine working in a field, the process inside it, and the technology behind it, all in one film that loops on the stand.
The Systems & Components angle
Agritechnica includes SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS, the platform for suppliers of drives, hydraulics, electronics and parts. For component suppliers the visual challenge is the same as at Hannover: a gearbox or hydraulic cylinder looks like any other until you show its inside. Cutaways, x-ray views and explode animations are the right tools.

Dealers need assets too
Agricultural machinery is sold through dealer networks. A film and render set produced for Agritechnica becomes the dealer launch kit for the following season, in every language you sell in.
Showing precision farming technology
The 2027 theme, Connecting Agricultural Intelligence, puts sensors, software and automation at the centre. These are notoriously hard to show on a stand, because the value is in what the machine decides, not in how it looks. Animation can make it visible: a sprayer switching sections on and off at field boundaries, a seed drill varying rate across zones from a prescription map, or a camera system detecting weeds. Overlays drawn over the machine in the field turn invisible data into a story a farmer understands in seconds.

New model launches at Agritechnica are usually decided early in the year. If the machine will be revealed at the fair, renders are often needed for the press and dealer previews from the summer, before prototypes can be photographed.
